MOTHERHOOD is opening this Friday October 23 at theaters in New York, Los Angeles, San Franciso, Chicago, and Boston.

There is a wonderful ticket benefit right now: from today until November 6th, if you buy a ticket in one of these cities via Fandango, $1 of your purchase will be donated to Susan G. Komen For The Cure to support breast cancer research.

Our movie has been selected as the Opening Night event for the 45th annual Chicago International Film Festival on October 8th. The film's star Uma Thurman, and writer/director Katherin Dieckmann, will be special guests of the festival and Ms. Thurman will receive the festival's Career Acheivement Award before the screening!

MOTHERHOOD will be screening at the Woodstock Film Festival in upstate New York this weekend. Go to the festival's web site for ticket information.

The film is screening twice at the Mill Valley Film Festival in northern California next week: on Saturday October 10th along with a Tribute Program of clips and conversation live with Uma Thurman, and again on Sunday October 11th. The 25th annual Boston Film Festival, which runs September 18-24, will present its Film Excellence Award to Uma Thurman, while also screening MOTHERHOOD as the festival’s Opening Night Event at the Landmark Kendall Square Theatre.

"The committee is delighted to honor Uma for her extraordinary film career," said Robin Dawson, the festival's executive director. "Uma has entertained audiences around the globe in varied performances and has become an inspiration to women. This movie will resonate with mothers and families alike while supplying some welcome comedic relief."
